
'STRØGET' The longest pedestrian street in the world and the centre of shopping in Copenhagen.'Strøget' runs through the central part of the city from east to west. Both ends terminate in large squares, east in Kongens Nytorv (The King's Square) and west in Rådhuspladsen (The City Hall Square). Magazin, a Parisian style department store. Exclusive goods, clothing, perfume and food.

Danish design is famous all over the world, modern furniture, jewellery, porcelain or Danish furs. The shops offer a world of porcelain, glass, crystal & silver, exquisite kitchenware, tableware, lamps, carpets, textiles, furniture and fashion.
You will also find the exclusive designer shops such as Gucci, Chanel, Mulberry, Donaldson on 'Strøget' around Østergade.
Another interesting shop to visit is the Amber Specialist.
Louis Poulsen & Co. Denmark's largest lighting show room, situated in Nyhavn, known for its marketing of "PH-lamps" and many other famous desigs.
Other streets such as Kronprinsensgade has a variety of cafes, designer shops and old fashioned stores such as the Perchs Teashop.
For the younger generation Larsbjørnsstræde might be of interest with its younger fashion and many second hand stores.
